iv heard people dont like him because of this. can yous not take a joke.
the interviewer asked him "will you be watching scotland in the world cup this year", knowing full well that scotland had not qualified.
Andy replied "ill be supporting anyone but england".
cant yous tell this is a joke and the english media made a big deal out of nothing?
even if he did want the england team to get beat whats wrong with that. their is a big rovarly between scotland and england in football. its like expecting a liverpool fans to support man u in the european cup.
ive also heard people think he is anti-english because of his comment. how can this be true when he has family in england and his girlfriend is english?

EDIT* yeh its true its the papers that made a big about it and got people believing he hate english people. most have now realised it was a joke but theres still a section of english people who cant see past what the papers say and still hate him.
DYLAN - ill be supporting murray because im scottish and british. i supported henman when he was playing too as he was also british.
DAN THE FISHERMAN - i dont like to see the england national team do well but that is due to the rivalry i spoke about before, not because i dislike the english or anything. I actually support england in anything but football. thats what footballs all about, the rivalries and banter etc.
kieranjamesaka - you people really cant take a joke. if you watched the interview, or read above as i quoted them you would see its a joke.
the interviewer knew scotland were not in the world cup and asked him if hed be watching them in it (obviously joking) so andy answered back with a joke. GET A SENSE OF HUMOUR
