What time is Andy Murray playing tennis today?

Can anyone tell me roughly when Andy Murray is meant to be playing? I know it would just be an estimate, because other centre court games may run long... but roughly what time should he be on?

Who do you think will win Wimbledon?

Venus or Serena Williams ?

Roger Federer, Andy Murray or Andy Roddick ?

I think Venus will win the womens, and Federer the mens, although I would like to see Murray win, if not Murray, Roddick lol

What about you ?
Stupid question indeed, we'll just see on Saturday/Sunday. ;)
Ok so Murrays out, Federer or Roddick ?

I hope Roddick

I highly doubt that very much, i mean c`mon lol you gotta admit Nadal`s path to winning a gold medal is certainly the toughest out the draw. Lemme refresh everyones memory.... Potito Starace, Lleyton Hewitt, Andy Murray, Novak Djokovic....!!! Now to Roger Federer`s draw.... Dmitry Tursunov, Tomas Berdych, Karlovic.... how has roger got an easier path? and dont say there both equal down the line in the draw cause there just not !!! Its always typical, when rafa is the new #1 will he get easier draws than roger (being seeded 2nd) i mean everyone use to say federer gets the easiest draws because thats the price he pays for being at top of the game....we shall see.
Thank god some people are agreeing with me, i thought i was going nuts lol its sooo obvious fed has the easiest draw. I know he has some ``dark horses`` to play, id much rather rafa had dark horses than two very talented young players like djokovic and murray. Not to forget a former world #1 hewitt !!! haha oh god.........
Yeah i know lol ! I was to excited:P

Federer claims he finds andy murray the hardest player to beat?? wtf Rafa`s rivalry with Roger is one of the biggest in mens tennis!! And if you check the head to heads its clear Federer finds it extremely difficult to beat Nadal!!! Murray hasnt played Federer nowhere near the number of times Rafa has sooo.... also Rafa has shown that he can own Fed on clay, grass and hard :D so maybe roger is saying this just to take off the pressure trying not to think about rafa? lol

Do you think Andy Murray will be the world no 1 tennis player? I think he will, he is really young and he is Scottish which is good! :-)
Seriously you guys, don't be cruel. Tim Henman was overly praised for his achievements yet Andy Murray has done better than him and he's only 21. Serbia, Spanish, Scottish, and Switzerland have the best players... I just think it's nice for a Scottish player to do so well

Is this just the worse day ever for procrastination?

We have the grass court version of the French Open final at 1. The lovely Dani Hantuchova graces our screens a little later and then Andy Murray bids his march to the Quarters late afternoon.

With a line up like that it's hard to even fit in pub time on the hottest day of 2009!

Have read in the paper today that Andy Murray is upset he has been seeded 12th for this year's Wimbledon because he believes he is "one of the top grass-court players in the world".

How does he work that one out? In my opinion that's a load of bull****. His best result on grass has been reaching the fourth round at Wimbledon in 2006.

Maybe if he gets to the semi-final/final each year he can say someone like that but saying it now is just ridiculous!

Why has Murray beaten Federer twice ?

I mean its Andy Murray haha ! He leads the head to head over the greatest player in the world Mr Roger Federer, I mean wtf!!! Its crazy im begining to worry now about Rafa`s match, providing Nadal feels good and doesnt have a serious injury im sure he`ll win comfortably but hmm....having my doubts seeing as Murray has defeated Federer twice. At least Rafa leads 3-0 in their meetings.

Who is more pleased?

1) Roger Federer - FINALLY in with a chance of winning on all four surfaces

2) Andy Murray - it's looking easier and easier for him

Sorry if you do not give a continental toss about tennis, but I love it and I haven't been this excited since 5pm today, upon learning Dot Cotton is to appear on stage naked this summer.

Anyway, your thoughts (if any) on the most amazing result in Tennis this year?

Roger Federer is out of the Masters Cup.?

'Andy Murray knocked Roger Federer out of the Masters Cup in Shanghai as the defending champion struggled with a lower back injury in a dramatic match.'

Full story here:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/tennis/7729083.stm

Congrats to Murray. Yes, I was a little sad when I found this out.
Federer had his back examined three times during that match, and looked in pain throughout. But y'know, it makes me that much more proud of him at the fact that he never gave up, no matter what. What a fantastic, dedicated person. A true fighter.

"I don't quit once I step on court," said Federer, who had a stomach bug earlier this week and treatment to his back before the deciding set.

"My body was hurting, normally the best of three sets is peanuts and it's a shame I couldn't handle it today."

He was also said to have played 'magnificent tennis' by spectators.

Federer's words were:

"It was a good season. I was happy I could win the US Open for the fifth straight time. I'm looking forward to next year, to go for six. It was an incredible match at Wimbledon. I had very emotional victories in Basel, my hometown… and winning the Olympic gold for Switzerland was a big moment for me. It was tough to start off with and tough to end."

I think he deserves a very well deserved rest. He's had the toughest year. The last time he lost the Masters Cup was a match with Nalbandian. He had an ankle injury, but fought and made it to the final.
Infected by the awful mononucleosis disease which drained his energy and effected him so badly, he still fought and made it to at least every semi final of every Grand Slam this year, making it to the finals of the French and Wimbledon; something many top players can't achieve even when they are healthy, and winning the US open for the fifth straight time. And he fought today, with a lower back injury so bad that it recently forced him to pull out of the Paris Masters. Once again he never gave up.. God bless him and I wish him luck for next year.
(This isn't a question by the way, guys, just letting you know about the news)
You may discuss and share your opinions. =]

Why all the hype over Wimbledon?

We are forever hearing that it is the greatest tennis tournament in the world, and the commentators like to remind us that the world is watching. Rubbish.
The fact that now it is 4am in Australia, 1am in China, 10am in South America and 8am in the Us (covers most of the tennis fan countries except eastern Europe) suggest that the world isn't actually watching and couldn't give two ****'s.
The world is probably as bothered about it as we are about the US Open or Australian Open.
It's defiantly a British that our competitions are better because they are ours and no one else could possibly match us (i.e best football league in world). The fact is that even the players themselves don't like Wimbledon but aren't allowed to admit, they follow strict rules, play in random weather conditions and have to answer questions on Andy Murray in every press conference and his chances of winning Wimbledon, he is a player they probably hate and have never seen play. Time we got over selves.
Sorry for the rant, can't wait till Wimbledon is over.
Believe?

here is FoxSport a US sports company http://msn.foxsports.com/

here is foxsport australia

http://www.foxsports.com.au/

here is Skysports UK

http://www.skysports.com/

very little Wimbledon on the aussie and US page, Wimbledon has overtaken football on UK page and Sky don't even have coverage. I'm right and you know it.
Oh and FoxSport has live coverage of wimbledon, who cares the most?
fair enough, can't wait for the shambles that will be the 2012 olympics. maybe that will bring the media down a peg or two.
