Should we English be supporting Andy Murray at Wimbledon?

The guy said he was a Scot and would not be supporting England through the World Cup, it was even reported he would be cheering on who ever we played.

Today, his Manager/spokesman at Wimbledon claimed he's British obviously to get the English on his side.

Year after year the English support the Scots, Welsh and Irish in sport and other events.(unless we're playing them of course)

Should we really be spending one second of our time supporting this guy when we get nothing in return?

I hate the guy, he as to be one of the most arrogant/self centred PRICKS in tennis.

when he comes to wimbeldon next month, he will be wearing scottish colours and the MAJORITY of the english crowd will be cheering him on, WHYYYYYY? he already said he was anti-english 2 years ago.

don't get me wrong its not the fact i have a problem with him wearing scottish colours on the world stage, i'm a big fan of calzaghe and want him to win even though he never associates himself with britain and a union jack, i just can't stand this guy.

    We can notice significant improvement in terms of his maturity, the way he controls his emotional outburst for instance. I have seen this from the when he battled his way back from two sets down to claim victory over Gasquet at Wimbledon this year.

    He might have lost the UO match quite plainly but I think he did fight till the drop of the last point. I personally think he would be the one to win a grand slam and the first ever Wimbledon … or may be in couple of years?

      Ok so this question i have to ask. Andy Murray as you know was the favourite i suppose to win Wimbledon this year. He Got to the semis and got bet by Andy Roddick.

      Correct me if im wrong but so far throughout the comp he was being called the 'British Star' on the news and such. Since his beating to Roddick and now that he is no longer in the comp why is he being referred to as the 'Scottish Star'.

      I always feel that when he is winning he is British but when he is losing he is Scottish. And yes i know he is British and he is Scottish but why the change when he gets beat.

        When Murray has made it quite clear that he detests England and loathes the English?
        But then English people fawn over the equally bigoted anti English racist Sean Connery.
        And please don't say that its because Murray is British - no Scot that i have EVER met regards themselves as British, as far as they are concerned being British is just for the English.
